Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park Hiking Map No.1 of 6: Royal Natal: Rugged Glen to Mweni
The first map in the series of 6 unique, superbly drawn and highly detailed
very large scale hiking maps of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park covers the area
from Rugged Glen to Mweni. These maps are absolutely unique and difficult to
find. No-one intending to wander the Drakensberg Rugged Glen to Mweni region can
afford to be without this map.
The maps numbered 1 to 6 are for the different regions in the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park with hiking map number 1 starting at the northernmost section of the Drakensberg Mountain range encompassing the Royal Natal National Park and stretching from Rugged Glen to Mweni
The map shows contours at 20m intervals, heights in metres above sea level, tops of passes, trig beacons, peaks and heights. In addition the maps shows paths, major and minor as well as "other" including those paths which are not recommended to be travelled. The scale is 1:50,000 (2cms = 1km).
This map number 1 includes the Royal Natal National Park shown in the north western section of the Park and leads on to the Cathedral Peak section shown in the bottom right corner of the map. The Royal Natal National park is the most important section of the map. The KZN wildlife office is in the area as is the visitor centre.
